Most cities are like this. You cannot write exceptions into an ordinance that treats extremely well trained dogs, like Richards, differently than poorly trained or not trained dogs.JP171 wrote:I know that Harris, Galveston and Ft. In the other thread discussing shooting an attacking coyote/dog, its discussed a dog that charges up to the property line and stops. That could be an extremely well trained dog that it knows where the line is and knows to stop. It sees its behavior as protecting what is his. The person being charged doesn't know all this.
Sorry you don't like the rules, but, as usual, they are written for the lowest (or most dangerous) common denominator.
