Re: Walmart has fallen!
I planned a grocery shopping trip today to my local WalMart store (Conroe) – a store in which I’ve OC’ed countless times. However, this trip I was not CC/OC’ing. As I entered the store there were NO 06/07 signs visible. I thought I’d ask the Greeter on my way out if she knew any details regarding th...

WTS - Thompson Center 50 cal Renegade
TC replaced the stock and haven’t fired it since the replacement. The new wood is factory perfect. The metal/bluing is very nice. Rifle is complete, with no known problems, and in factory shipping boxes. Extras included. Located in Conroe – prefer a face-to-face, but would consider other options. No...

My EDC is a SOG Flash II (assisted opening)- very well made and takes and keeps a super sharp edge. VERY happy with it.

Re: Hand primer gave up today
I have the older style RCBS hand primer and really like it. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/rcbs-hand-priming-tool#repChildCatid=881855 It does require specific shell holders – no problem, as my press & dies are RCBS. The RCBS tool is solidly made. I previously had a cheaper brand and it was poo...

Re: Removing grime from gun parts
I use a home-brew called Ed’s Red as a cleaner – old school, but it works great. I place grimy parts in a metal container, pour Ed’s over them, let them soak over-night. For really grimy parts, scrub with old tooth brush. After the soak, spray with brake cleaner and you’ll have sparkling parts. I on...

Re: The years is half over and I haven't seen an open carrier yet
I also have yet to see another OC person and I'm on the look-out. About a month ago I was walking through a Conroe neighborhood OCing a full size 1911 and was stopped by a Constable. He wanted to congratulate me on being the first OC that he had seen. I'm sure he is on the look-out for OC. I didn't ...

DIY Pistol Travel Case
I had some airplane trips scheduled and wanted to take my S&W M-66 snubie along. To transport the pistol I needed a sturdy hard-side pistol case. Looked at a variety of pistol cases in the Big Box stores and didn’t see anything that seemed to really suit the situation. Either they were plastic a...

Re: Press recommendations
I have an RCBS Jr single stage press and really like it.
It is built like a tank and RCBS stands by their products.
Should be able to pick-up a used RCBS Jr or RCBS Rock Chucker pretty easy and cheap.
