Re: Sig P320 sub compact Holster help

cmg67,

Don't buy a new holster till you first try the Glock 19 in the Crossbreed.

My P320 is a Compact, and it fits two of three Glock 19 holsters I have.

Re: Arrest Record Question

I just completed my CHL/LTC course today and started filling out the application online. I have an arrest for Public Intoxication in LaMarque,TX from many years ago. I don't have a clue what year this happened in. I have gotten my criminal record from Galveston County and this arrest was not listed...

Re: 30.06 Removed

That sign is a "code".

It lets the owner post a "No Guns" sign for the anti-gunners, while making it clear to us it means "Unlicensed".
In other words, "Licensed" is OK.

Re: CHL paperwork history questions??

Question #1: In my situation, I was sent a letter stating they couldn't find any records. Not really that much different than being sealed I guess. I listed the arrest, and included a copy of the letter. I got my CHL. As I understand, the big No-No is failing to mention the arrest. I was told DPS wi...

Re: Dangerous Dogs and Use of Deadly Force

99% of the dogs I encounter while walking my little Yorkie are not dangerous to me or to her. But, just as some people are truly dangerous, some dogs are the same. My yorkie was attacked by a pit bull last year. I managed to pick her up before he got her, but then, he attacked me. All I had was my b...

Re: Are night sights a scam?

As I recall, 70% of self defense shootings occur in low light. I prefer to give myself an edge. My carry weapons have night sights and I also have a flashlight. In training, I have shot on a dark range with a class of about 20 people. As you recall, the Texas CHL qualification course of fire has ta...

Re: target load vs carry load-If Worse Comes to Worse

If worse comes to worse, my Colt AR will be my primary weapon.
All my rounds (soft point, varmint, and NATO FMJ) are devastating.

My pistols will be to get me to the AR. FMJ will work. Especially the .40s and .45s.

Re: October Applications

Now that Jweaver has his, and Slobber's is on the way -- is anybody else who applied in October still waiting?

I want to hang around until everybody finally has it.

Re: Poll, PC 30.06 in "Private Businesses"

I see things in this thread that speak to our "changed" society and concern me greatly. The poll came out 63% to 38% in favor of property rights. But; the comments seem to tell the opposite. Or is the 38% just that vocal? The feeling that a private property owner that chooses to start a bu...

Re: October Applications

I still don't have an update after submitting it 10/21/2013. After not hearing anything and calling and being told they lost my documents, I also called my representative and got a call from DPS. The lady I spoke with said they did have my documents and it looked like it only had a few more days to...
