I know there have been some unrailed P226s made recently (last 3 years or so), but they were distributor exclusives or made specifically for a large customer (I forget which) so a new production unrailed P226 is not impossible, but I doubt a lone star edition w/o rail will happen. To be honest I figure there will be a lonestar edition of the P238, P938, ect. seeing as how sig likes to produce a new variant across several lines if for no other reason than creating additionals SKUs.OldCannon wrote:P220 in a Lone Star edition is possible if there is enough demand.G.A. P226 unrailed? I don't see that happening going forward. An accessory rail is now considered pretty standard for a full-sized handgun.

Re: Sig P226 Lone Star Edition
I nearly ordered one when I first heard about them, but then I saw the promo picture and noticed the rail. I just can't bring myself to want a sign P22X with a rail under normal conditions. IF they do a P220 like this or drop the rail on the P226 I will reconsider.
