Taurus Safeties are not. Take a 24/7 series pistol that is capable of DA/SA firing with the "ribber" grip, ensure it is unloaded, take up the slack on the trigger and engage the thumb safety. Now squeeze the trigger and listen to the striker fall. You can repeat this in both SA and DA modes. This is a concern to me because this can happen when the trigger is prevented from returning to its forward most position by debris such as mud, lint, or other foreign materials. This is to me a serious safety issue and Taurus is very much aware of it as they have corrected it in newer models which lack the ribber grip.
