Issues with Holster (Sweat & Sore Hip)

While I have been waiting on my plastic, I have been wearing my holster around the house/property to get used to it. I've found 2 issues that I hope can be solved. I have a CompTac MTAC and a BladeTech gunbelt to carry my Kimber Pro Carry II.

First issue I noticed is sweat. I spend a lot of time in hot environments, meaning I sweat a lot. It didn't take very long until I noticed that sweat soaked through the holster and onto my gun. I do have a Crossbreed SuperTuck horsehide on order to help keep sweat off my gun, but who knows how many months I'll be waiting on that. I tried an undershirt which only slowed the problem a little, and got one of those UnderArmour HeatGear undershirts with the same result. Is there anything else I can do to help keep sweat off my gun while I wait for my better holster?

My next issue is probably only from the cheap BladeTech belt, but after a while my hip will start to get sore on the left side towards the front. My guess is it's just from the weight of the gun putting pressure on that one spot. The only fix seems to be only short-term by putting something soft like an extra sock underneath the belt in that one spot. It helps, but not for very long. I do have a Crossbreed gunbelt along with a dual mag holder to hopefully help balance the extra weight on order.

Does anyone have any better suggestions to help fix these problems? My plastic should be in the mailbox this week, it would be great to be able to carry without being in pain and rusting my gun.
