Re: Can I carry a Bug legally in Texas?

My new or present configuration is my G23 on my strong side with my SW642 as a cross draw. The reason is because when I am driving my G23 seems to disappear and is a time consuming choir to get a quickly. But now my SW642 is very easy and quick to draw in case if an attempted car jacking. ...

Re: Can I carry a Bug legally in Texas?

Yes that was a funny scene. :smilelol5: I just want to make sure that I am 100% legal before I do anything. When highway driving and when I just have to go to or through some ares in town. I think a Bug would make sense. For example one of the Family Dollar stores that was robbed recently and they t...

Re: Can I carry a Bug legally in Texas?

Thanks a million gents. I now carry a G23 or a SW642 and thinking of maybe carrying both sometimes. I read on another gun forum that this guy was restricted by law to only one gun for CCW in his state. He never mentioned what state so of course I got to thinking about Texas and wanted to be sure. Gr...

Can I carry a Bug legally in Texas?

Does Texas CCW law indicate anywhere that we can only carry on our body or person one handgun only. I may want to carry one extra as a bug but do not know if Texas has placed any limitations on this or not.

Thank you in advance!

The motion sensor outdoor lights sound like a great idea. I just saw some on QVC that were solar powered for a set of four. Sorry for the delayed reply gents, I have been working 6 days a week, 12 and 13 hours a day. When I crawl thru the door it's lights out. The madness ends in 2 weeks. :gr...

I understand what you mean govnor. I was ready to call them at any moment. I'm sure you saw in my above post that I was sitting in the dark with my weapon and phone. It never occurred to me that I could call 911 for people whistling. They had not done anything (that I could see or prove) "crimi...

I broke down and got Meprolights (Tru-Dot, Sure-Shot) for my G23.

They are on my G23 now and are bright as heck.

They even shine in the day light.

Now I fell a lot better/prepaired.

Good luck!

Are the mountable lights easy and fast to take off? I have only 1 handgun and it is the one that I use for CHL carry. Any measurements need to be taken? So if it just kind of slips on or off then great. Or should I start thinking about a 2nd handgun or mounting a light on my 12gauge? I'm talking abo...

Well gents I ordered my Trijicon night sight set today. It should arrive at the shop in about a week and they will call me. The gun smith told me to just drop off my slide and I would have it back the very same day. I've received practical info from you guys. I've already received my Infidel IWB hol...

I had to stop by ole Wally for a few things anyway. I'll stop by after the gun shop. Great ideas for lights. I want to start out with a good hand-held version first. Now the idea of throwing a light source for a distraction and illumination makes sense to me. But, I'm still thinking that if I turn o...

Yes Sir we are in 100% full agreement. Thats why I said "breaking glass alone". Examples such as: 1) If you are awakened at 2am because some thug has broken your car window to gain entry to it. But you are inside locked up nice and tight ane he/they do not even see you but you run outside ...

Even since Governor Perry signed the "Castle Doctrine", everything still revolves around one feeling that another person or persons will cause their death immediately . The castle doctrine is extended to ones vehicle BUT only when ones life is in immediate danger. I do not feel that breaki...

Well I have a slim mini maglite flashlight that gives off a stromg beam for such a little guy. While I'm at the gun shop I will see what they have to offer in lights for Glocks. From the phone conversation I understand mountable lights will have to be mostly ordered because most lights are not kept ...

Thank God that everyone is OK. A good thing that the EX did not witness this as well  I think that you are saying that you inserted one round with out the use of the magazine :?: Anyway you are correct in establishing safe 'habits' so that you don't even think about what to do next. For example...

Thanks gents  I have already Googled and searched a few Glock forums and it looks like the Trijicon tritium is the best way to go for now. This will be a great start for a novice anyway. I have decided to stop by my local gun shop tomorrow and get this done. Why wait???? I was told that it wou...
