They took mostly jewerly and small items. They left 2 laptops that were in open but dug through handbag and took wife's tablet. I did learn that the safest place for your pistol is on you. They got a couple of pistols that I had around the house (one pried out of a cannon lock box) but I still have my Shield that was on me. They actually left a shotgun that was in the open. Everything they took seems to have been put in a pillow case that they took off our bed. I am taking steps to make this more difficult next time. Not a good feeling!

I'm so sorry to hear about this violation of your home! Were the police able to get any evidence?

Did your wife have an IPad? She can put Find my IPhone on there, it works for iPads also.

Did they kick in the door? Hope you both are settled. It's not a good feeling, I know!

Re: my home was broken into last night

Sorry to hear this! Glad you are well and didn't arrive in the middle of it.

I'd like to recommend security cameras. They work! You need minimum 8 cameras to properly cover the perimeter of your home.

There are some great camera systems. I recommend Nightowl. Their American based customer service is excellent. 24/7/365. Great how to videos on their website. I'd try Amazon, SAMs, or Costco online for better deals. You can use their app to check cameras while away from home.

Thank you Motherbear for sharing that link. I'm going to share this with hubby. I think we will do this. :thumbs2: Do they do the same as the other identity theft company?
