Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
The City of Mesquite Police Department headquarters building has a 30.06 sign on the glass doors going into the Police lobby. Once in the lobby, you're pretty much locked down except for the doors you just entered through. The 30.06 sign is in english and spanish and appeared to be correctly formatt...

I notice you're a Fire Fighter. Perhaps start small and work on getting the FD permission to carry. You may cite the shooting in NY where responding FF were shot in an effort to prevent them from rendering aid. You could make an argument that you and your FF coworkers are more likely to be The firs...

Bill of Sale
I got several guns from my grandfather's estate. The executor already has all my information (DOB, SSN, etc) since he has been managing my investments all my life. Is there any reason NOT to get a Bill of Sale? I want to be able to clearly show how and when I got them should any of them turn out to ...

Re: CHL on ambulance (unknown state)
Do you have a CHL? If you do, you can review your CHL handbook. If not, try to take a CHL course, or you can even just carefully review the Texas Health & Safety code of the Texas Constitution. No matter what method you choose, they all explain how to properly, safely, and legally handle those ...

Re: CHL on ambulance (unknown state)
That's a good point, but I want to address something else here..... This thread started with a fairly new member with (now) 7 posts, beating up on another CHLer with some assumptions about his personality, etc. I went back and reread my original post and I think Annoyed Man has a very good point. I...

Re: CHL on ambulance (unknown state)
My name is Omar J. De La Rosa. Stay safe and God bless. Just a few questions, How can u carry in Texas and work on an ambulance when you have no idea where your next call will be (might be at a location that has 30.06 signage or another prohibited place)? What are you going to do with your gun? I'v...

Re: Typical encounter with an LEO
Personally, I don't think that you have to tell them that you are armed or have a CHL on your own property unless they ask for ID. It could be something as simple as comfort, all the stuff on a duty belt makes a little arm rest.

CHL on ambulance (unknown state)
Interesting delima from an EMT or Paramedic. Don't know what state he's in. I'm guessing this is the type guy that has one of those CHL badges and car door magnets! https://www.facebook.com/EmergencyMedicalServices?hc_location=timeline "I have a question for the group. I work at a small non-eme...

Re: CHL application documents
I would keep them until you have plastic in hand. I say this b/c, worse case scenario, DPS loses your app, your computer hard drive crashes and your backup method didn't quite "back up". Got plastic in hand a few weeks ago. Interesting how that CHL and extra pound or so on your side chang...

CHL application documents
I received my CHL earlier this month. I scanned all the application documents in a pdf file before I submitted. Is there any reason to keep paper copies of any of this?
Thanks. Chris

Think I'll pass on the whole "Wally walk" thing. Way to silly. Kinda reminds me . . . . hey, now that I think about it, some of my Christmas lights are burned out. Maybe I better run to Walmart to replace them and before they run out.
