Re: Man assaulted during Wally Walk

I don't think there was a whole lot of thinking involved in any form actually.

True that. Thats reeeeaaaaallly difficult though when walking into a Walmart. After all, its perfect normal for everyone to go into the same direction into a store.

IN his defense if someone charges you completley from behind thats kind of hard to stop. Your pure reaction time to do anything is the better part of a second by itself at the absolute best.

So what do you do if two people in Walmart are on the ground scuffling for a gun? You've got a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

Easy. While everyone is distracted, I move to the head of the checkout line. Mamma didn't raise no fool. :tiphat:

Re: Man assaulted during Wally Walk

As I am not a tacticool ninja with eyes in the back of my head and abs of steel i'd have probably been knocked down. I have no illusions about my capacities at my age and ability.

But my lawyer...oh he's a legal Mike Tyson. As noted by others, everyone would be paying by the time he was done.

Crazy.
Sorry. I really needed to get a new coffee maker...

Jumping Frog wrote:An alternate view would be that people living in states where unlicensed open carry is legal get used to the idea that not everyone with a gun is either a cop or a criminal.

I've had people ask me if I was a cop when I open carried, and my response was generally, "No, just an ordinary citizen carrying legally which is the right of every law-abiding citizen in this state ..." The reaction was generally,"Cool, I wasn't aware of that. Am I allowed to carry too?"
I would proffer those who seek to OC in a major metroplex in Texas are in for a rough ride if they act like the OCTC is doing. If they act like, well normal folks, I'd think no one would notice, or else think you are a cop as they did you.
