Finally my status changed!

I checked on it 3 times yesterday, at 8am, 2pm and 7pm. The status was "waiting on docs" all three times. This morning I logged in at 7:40am and saw this.

Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Completed
Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing Pending

So, between the comment made by the lady at DPS and this, I think it supports my theory that they are working on some applications without updating the site regularly. This is the first change in my status and it's straight to "Manufacturing Pending". Here's hoping for "Mailed" later today or tomorrow.

I don't know this as a fact, but I'm starting to think that it depends on whoever is doing your app as to when your updates get entered. ALL of mine were at 6am, as were others, but some others have been at all times of the day (or night). No rhyme or reason to the madness.

And some of us aren't getting updates at all

And the wait goes on! ARGH! Mine is still 'Waiting on docs'.


After reading 1quick4.6's post, I decided to go get my Supertuck holster ordered. I didn't realize that they had such a back log (their site says about 2 months). Thanks for the heads up . Hopefully I won't get my holster first!

Manufacturing pending... That seems pretty fast... Anyone else change that quick?

Mine is still "Waiting for Documents", so I decided to ignore the 30 day wait to call them. When I talked to the lady at DPS I told her that I wanted to confirm if they had received my documents and make sure that the reason that it still says "waiting for documents" is not because I missed something. She asked for my DL# and then said "We received all of your remaining documents on 5/28 and it looks complete. They are working on it". This makes me beleive that on at least some of the applications they are working on things behind the scences without the site being updated in a timely manner.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. My instructor told the class that if we snail mail our documents it is taking about 60 days but emailing the documents are only taking 30 days. For this reason I emailed the docs, now I'm thinking I should have sent them via regular mail.
