Enjoy the well deserved rest! Thank you for the education you have provided so many people during this tumultuous session (it isn't over yet) and for the patience you have shown especially with some of us newbies to the process.

I have learned a lot and look forward to what you have hinted about rolling out in the future to educate citizens on the political process and how they can best and most effectively be involved.

We all owe a debt of gratitude to all those who fought the hard fight to get this passed. Thanks to the members of this board, Mr. Cotton and all those lobbying in favor of this bill.

Once signed by the Governor, you will be able to open carry on 1/1/16

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....

It was stated when read that it is identical to the amendment added/authored by Dutton and Rinaldi:

Sec. 411.2049.

A peace officer may not make an investigatory stop or other temporary detention to inquire as to whether a person possesses a handgun license solely because the person is carrying a partially or wholly visible handgun carried in a shoulder or belt holster.

Thus the reason for the CTA to get it read today. They are wasting time, they know they are wasting time, they just want to get it on the record yet again that they object, nay strenuously object to the fact that open carry will pass on their watch.
