Forget to add that the gun comes with a set of Houge 1 piece grips. Also, I'm only interested in face to face deals, and am located 45min. West of Houston.

The 586 came in nickel or blued finish, the 686 is stainless. Other than that they are the same L-frame S&W.The Annoyed Man wrote:What's the difference between the 586 and the 686?

SOLD: Smith and Wesson 586
I'm looking to trade my Smith and Wesson 586 no dash. I'm specifically interested in trading it for a 2.5 or 3 in. barrel 686 with a stainless finish. I can add some $$$ for the right deal. I guess I'd also sell this one for the right price. PM me any offers.
