Welcome to the forum.
I think all of your questions have been answered, As far as a method of carry, that is something that you will have to decide. What works for one may not work for you. Even a change in weapons can mean a different method. My primary carry is/was a Glock 21 carried in a OWB Don Hume @ 4 oclock. I recently picked up a SW1911sc, ordered the same type of holster for it. Had a problem with the grip safety stabbing me in the side. Have since ordered 2 additional styles to try.
