Denton Record Chronicle Supports HB 1911

Saw an editorial in the Denton Record Chronicle edition today supporting constitutional carry. This is the same newspaper that had multiple editorials against open carry and campus carry during the 2015 legislative session. Not sure what happened to the editorial board that changed their general fee...

Re: The years is half over and I haven't seen an open carrier yet

I'very seen 1 person O'CONNOR at a Sonic a couple of months ago. No one seemed to care from what I could tell.

Re: Senior U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia found dead

I have seen a couple of analysis stories that suggest the Senate will not confirm a new SC nominee until after the November election. Only time will tell if those analysts are correct.

Re: Another interesting article in Denton newspaper

I saw the same issue earlier today. It seems to me that the Denton RC is somewhat obsessed with gun issues right now. There is at least one gun story a week and they are generally not supportive of our 2A rights (in my opinion).

Re: Whataburger's Gun Policy (Ugh)..........

It's been a long time since I have read and posted on this board and it is late. I will try my best to sound coherent. First let me state that because of numerous food allergies my family cannot safely eat out anywhere. Before we knew this, Whataburger was a favorite. So I simply do not have a dog ...

Re: So what's the new signage going to be?

Sadly, based on some of the internet discussions I'm seeing, its not that farfetched. A whole lot of "I'm not listening to the busboy, I won't leave unless I talk to a manager." Also sadly, that type of attitude ("I'm not listening to the busboy, I won't leave unless I talk to a mana...

Re: Fox News report on Texas OC

Just my opinion, but I think Fox tends to go for the sensational version of news just to get viewers/internet clicks. Most news organizations follow a somewhat similar path, but I think Fox is a little more on the sensational end. Again, just my opinion.

Re: SB11 & HB910 This week....

To the House tomorrow. Session begins at 2:00pm. Chas. THANK YOU Charles for all the endless hours of work. The progress made this session has been tremendous. As of a few weeks ago, I was frustrated with the process and with the individuals who were acting like children instead of elected official...

HB 910 Conference Committee

Since the other threads on HB 910 are getting very long, I am starting a new thread to discuss the next stage in the drive to get HB 910 passed. As I said in a different thread last night, I will continue to hold out hope for OC until the final legislative deadline passes on Sunday night at midnight...

Re: House 5/27 - HB910 or SB11

Both SB11 and HB910 are not dead yet and I for one will keep hope until the last bell tolls. The legislative process is always a bit manic by it's nature, so don't let the drama make you feel like you should give up. I am right there with you ws03. Color me naive if you must, but I will not give up...
