Re: Length of time for the chambered round
When I unload and clear my weapon I take the round that was chambered and set it aside and rotate in a new round. I try not chamber the same round over and over to avoid having a chewed up round. If down the road I get chewed up rounds I will use those on the range. As far as how long I leave a roun...

Re: Sig P320 as an EDC option
The 320 to me is just too thick. It's like picking up a brick. But then again it may be due to the fact my carry gun is a M&P 45 shield and is super thin so anything seems really wide. But I do like the looks of the 320. Would be an awesome gun for OC or home defense nut but I'll let my Glock h...

Re: Sig P320 as an EDC option
Picked up an Infidel Ultra Max holster from Comp-Tac for my P320 Carry. Very comfortable IWB holster. Personally, I'm hoping they'll make the X5 Carry grip modules available for order, as I like the feel of the X5 Full grip. I think it's the extra beaver tail length that I like most. http://i1383.p...

Re: The time OC may have deterred crime
Panhandleing is dangerous I agree. I have told a few to get away and my dad has also when I was younger. You can never be too careful. You also have to becareful at gas stations. One guy can be a decoy while another opens your car door and steals whatever is there or worse comes from behind and har...

Re: The time OC may have deterred crime
Panhandling is a dangerous thing. I dont like it and I do not give money out to people on the street. I will donate to a local charity but letting people approach my window is a no-go...unless you are a fireman. I know there are people that really need help. But I have seen someone beg for money an...

Re: LTC, CHL. CHP...which is it in Texas?
I have had my CHL for years. To me its its "CHL" I see LTC mentioned alot. So what is the current common designation or are there differences? Next time you renew, you will receive a LTC (License to Carry Handgun) instead of a CHL (Concealed Handgun License). The name change went into eff...

Sig P320 as an EDC option
I had been debating between several firearms. I looked at the P320, M&P 2.0, and Beretta APX. I loved the grip texture of the new M&P 2.0 and I like M&P in general. The Beretta APX...while I appreciate its style, after messing with one it didnt make the cut this time. I think they are al...

Re: The time OC may have deterred crime
A few years back (well before OC) I had just finished pumping gas and a this really suspicious guy started approaching me. He was asking for money and when I said I didnt have any (and that was the truth) he started to approach me. I could tell something was wrong. I began backing up and I put my ha...

Re: Interesting Psychology: Open Carry & The Weapons Effect
Now when I leave the house she will ask "Hey you are carrying right?" She feels safer and sleeps better knowing we are armed. And that is great, so I'm not knocking it. But is she yet to the point where she's considering carrying one herself ? My wife was sort of like yours.....not anti-2...

Re: How Concealed do You have to be at work?
This is a sore subject for me. I work for a city government, so they are not allowed to post signs restricting carrying, but they can restrict their employees from it, which they do! So in other words, Any "Joe LTC" can walk right into my office with theirs, but I can't in my own office. ...

Re: Interesting Psychology: Open Carry & The Weapons Effect
What a academic rubbish. "Guns not only permit violence, they can stimulate it as well. The finger pulls the trigger, but the trigger may also be pulling the finger." Huh? :headscratch Just read that garbage written by their hero above, and you know right away that they're french fry shor...

Re: Interesting Psychology: Open Carry & The Weapons Effect
I believe our society is overly sensitive today. It is a no win situation because no matter what someone gets offended. You can pay a stranger a sincere compliment on the street and they will go off on you. Then you have people with several mental issues compounding the issues. But to stay on topic ...
