Last I heard trusts would likely need Cleo sign off soon anyways. Didn't want to go through that process if I couldn't get sign off.Syntax360 wrote:Why not just setup a trust?

Re: 700 sps tactical 20+ inch group at 100 yards
As an update...I was finally able to get my groups down to sub MOA. Part of it was definitely the ammo, but I think I also needed to just get more rounds through this particular rifle. I did "shoot the box" as was suggested by TAM, and got nice results. This was after I got shots placed in...

CLEO NFA sign off in Carrollton/Denton County?
Interested in getting an SBR. I live in north Carrollton, which is Denton County. Anyone know if they are NFA friendly? Do I have to go to Carrollton PD, or could I go to someone in Denton County (I'm assuming DC would be more willing than CPD). I know about the whole trust thing, but with the loomi...

Re: 700 sps tactical 20+ inch group at 100 yards
1. Exactly what model of Leupold scope are you using? 2. How far apart were the two groups, center to center? 3. How many clicks on each of the adjuster knobs did it take to move the second group that far from the first? Also, one last thing to consider......are you using the scope cranked all the ...

Re: 700 sps tactical 20+ inch group at 100 yards
So was able to try the rifle out with the new Leupold scope today shooting Federal Gold Medal 168 Grain Match BTHP. I was finally getting some decent groups...anywhere from .45" to .85" at 100 yards depending on the shooter. Now another issue. The groups were decent, but it was shooting a ...

Re: 700 sps tactical 20+ inch group at 100 yards
What are you shooting by way of ammo? Different loads will perform differently. What bullet weights? This matters greatly, and is closely tied to the next question. What barrel twist? If the twist rate isn't right for the bullet weight you're shooting, you're going to get bad results. What caliber?...

Yes new red field scope that I then upgraded to a leupold vx2. Haven't tried the leupold yetSidro wrote:Is this a new scope ? Sounds like crosshairs are floated. Typical occurrence with the pattern you are seeing and all screws being tight.

700 sps tactical 20+ inch group at 100 yards
New 700 sps tactical, trying to zero and was getting horrible grouping. Every now and then would get 2 shots right on top of each other, then another flyer on the other side of the target. Multiple experienced shooters with same results. Checked screws and all were fine. I swapped to a new scope but...

First time at Elm Fork?
Will be going to Elm Fork hopefully this weekend for the first time. I have been to indoor pistol ranges plenty of times, and shot my long guns at the family ranch, but never been to Elm Fork or any other outdoor range. I understand the basic rules regarding gun safety (keeping action open and stepp...

51% patio carry?
Went to a roadhouse type bar this weekend for some lunch. I wasn't carrying as I was between races (cycling), and I noticed the 51% signs at the door. However, you don't necessarily have to walk inside. This place had an open semi covered lot with a few tables setup that you could eat at. The waitre...

Gunsmith in N. Dallas area?
Finished my first ar build and would like an experienced gunsmith to look it over, verify headspace, etc. before I fire it for the first time. Can anyone recommend one? I am in the carrollton/the colony area
