The main point OC'ers push is that you shouldn't need a license to exercise a right, it doesn't matter if the license costs $100 or $1. Even though, I do support constitutional 2ndA, carrying in the public where there is potential for more conflicts and interaction with other strange people/events.
I still value,
A) The CHL course (laws of use of deadly weapon and deescalation)
B) The shooting qualification
C) The more training that comes with the responsibility of carrying a deadly weapon.
