I guess I should apologize in advance, but today is the first day that I've 'carried' almost all day, and like so many other men my age, I have a late-life, mid-body bulge. Because of that and the added weight on my belt, it seems like I spent most of the day pulling my pants up. Short of suspenders...

I sent in my completed application by snail mail on April 11th. Finally, on July 3rd, my status showed as "License Mailed".....but today is July 9th, and I still don't have my plastic. Is this common? I'm going nuts! Aaaaaaaarrrrrrgh!

I'm 70, and with arthritis in my hip, I definitely look like a viable target to some of those people out there who seem to need a full-time proctologist. I've been comfortable and well-qualified with handguns for several decades, so why not? I can, so I did and do....and shall.

I have been a hunter and shooter since I was in high school, very comfortable and familiar with firearms of all kinds....but now, as an arthritic 70-year-old, I realized that I have become a viable potential target. I deciced to carry to help protect my wiie and myself. It was a very simple decision...

Does anyone know where, in the DFW area, I can buy a Mossberg 500 12 ga. that's not "black" for home defense? I like wood and metal, and am not at all interested in looking like Rambo. Thanks, y'all.
