Re: Cardboard Targets Cost and Source ????

troglodyte wrote:Received my targets today from Lighthouse for the Blind. Ordered on the 27th. Arrived 30th.

They arrived in good shape. One thin binding strap (I assume for their handling) then wrapped securely in plastic and taped. Very good packing that took me longer than I thought it should to get it unwrapped.

I will be a repeat customer. :thumbs2:

I talked to their manager again the last time I stopped by to pick up a few bundles. He said to keep the orders coming. The targets are good quality and even at a slightly higher price, it supports a worthy cause. It is quite humbling to watch these folks work. :tiphat:

Lighthouse for the Blind

Just ordered 2 bundles of 50 green cardboard targets. In stock and ships tomorrow.

$62.50 each bundle shipped anywhere in Texas. They called it the Instructor Special. If you're in the DFW area you can pick them up and save the shipping.

Saved me $40 dollars if I would have ordered from LE Targets again.

I questioned the image they have on their website since it is a little different than the official B-27 (hands are not solid). The gentleman assured they are the same target they ship to the DPS (just shipped 3000 more) so I was glad to do business with them.

I assume the 500 min qty. is a typo. For shipping he said they are bundled in qty. of 50.

Great folks to do business with. Great targets. Hold up well in wind and especially in rain! I have the convenience of picking them up and saving shipping, but I still highly recommend these.

I just picked up 50. The only mention of quantity was that I could not break a bundle of 25.

Re: Cardboard Targets Cost and Source ????

I picked up 50 of the cardboard targets at Lighthouse for the Blind yesterday. 912 W. Broadway Fort Worth, TX. I did not get the repair centers since I let the students take their targets.

Total with tax was $45.47. Extremely friendly people.

They asked me to put the word out that they would love more business from the CHL instructors. They are open Monday - Thursday. Closed Friday.

I think even at a fair quantity purchased his price was around $0.50 each. Don't remember the style for sure, but they may or may not be exact size required for NRA.

Yes Keith you are correct. His are a little small...not much. 23x35 if I remember correctly. Same size area in the ring area but you lose a lot of length and therefore a lot of 3 point area. I wanted to see how he was printing them since I was once in the printing business. If you wanted to print them yourself your best bet would be a 24" laser plotter, but an offset press or web press is the only thing that makes sense to get the price down.

At 84 cents each on the cardboard and with the repair centers available, it is fairly reasonable. I didn't ask about the price of paper targets at Lighthouse for the Blind, but I suspect they are reasonable too and they do offer them.

The local indoor range here in Weatherford charges the general public $2.50 each for a paper target.

I suspect either a) they only sell them to the DPS or b) I just didn't get the right person to talk to on the phone.

Anyway, the purpose of the post..........where are you buying your cardboard targets? Cost? Are they high to ship?

Thanks,
Here is a link to the info http://lighthousefw.org/index.php?page= ... &Itemid=53" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thank you both for the info. Just got off the phone with their store. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised with the cost...and because it relatively local (23 mi) I can avoid the shipping cost. :tiphat:
