I still see it on line at ~17c per round (500 round brick = $85.00).

This American Eagle was ~4.4c per round (50 round box for $2.19).

Best price I've seen in a long time.

Re: ammo on sale

I was at Academy at 59 and Sweetwater (Sugar Land) on Friday. They had 22 LR on hand in plentiful quantities. American Eagle and two flavors of Aguila (which oddly enough means Eagle in Spanish). They were only selling 2 boxes to each customer (50 rounds per box) and I was alone so I bought two at $2.19 each.

My wife and I were back in there yesterday and they still had some. We each bought 2 boxes at $2.19 each.

It's behind the gun counter.

This may be a sign the 22 LR panic is coming to an end.

Not the best pricing but the first 22LR I've seen on shelves in quite some time.

Maybe we are over the hump...
That's some huge hump. :banghead:
:iagree: I didn't buy any, just amazed to see 22LR on a shelf again...

Re: ammo on sale

I know this is supposed to be Ammo on Sale but just wanted to remark about finding some ammo today pretty easily...

Went in to Carter's Country on Shaver in Pasadena (Houston area for you out of towners). Really just killing time at lunch but found some spare magazines for my new Body Guard.

I have some ammo on the way but UPS says it won't be delivered until Monday. I want to shoot my new pistol Saturday so I asked the guy if they had any 380 target, he says, "sure, how much you want?".

I bought 2 boxes (50 rounds each) of 380 Auto, 95gr FMJ, Brass Cased for $19.97 each.

As I write this, I know it would have helped if I asked him about his limits and other stock but I didn't think about it.

They did seem to have other ammo in the same area behind the counter.

I'll check on other calibers and any limits and post back next week.

50 rds of 9mm should be like $12. 100 rd of 9mm WWB should be like $22.
You have to look at limits too. At Academy (assuming they have 9mm) I can buy 1,2, or 3 boxes (depending on the store).

At Freedom Munitions, I can buy 20 boxes.

Whatever makes you happy and you can afford, go for it.

I was just updating and letting folks know what I saw today.

Re: ammo on sale

Went to Freedom Munitions (Jones Rd. and 290 in Houston) today...

PLENTY of 9mm and 5.56. Looked like they had a few cases each of .40S&W, .45, and .308 also. I asked the guy if they were having better luck staying ahead of demand and he said it felt like it.

I did note their prices creeping up a bit (call it market leveling). I walked out with 1000 rounds of 9mm Blaster 115gr for $366.00 (tax included).

I'm going shooting this weekend!!! :fire
