Easy solution is to put a plastic sticker of similar color on the gun covering the serial number. I have not found anything in TX statutes that prohibits covering the serial number. No more plain sight.

Problem is, if you own any property in the state of TX, it is easy to find you online. All property records are published online, along with marriage records, and a host of other personal information. Plus, publicdata.com makes it easy as well to find someone by name. Same here, I've been carrying a modified Glock 29 since I received my CHL. I use Double Tap 180gr. Speer Gold Dot ammo, and I can put a tight group with it. I definately like it .
