I was told if you have anything on your record it will take the full 60 days. I have a PI arrest from 23 years ago so I won't be getting mine until mid March.

Not true, you got the answer that would keep you from calling them back for another month. It's not as absolute as they say it is..

What the heck???

That's terrible!!

Sorry Brett! :(

Now I'm starting to wonder if the mail lady got mine mixed up with another address. I receive mail addressed to someone else a lot, sometimes I wonder how much of my mail goes to their address by accident. I usually get important letters I've been waiting on though. So mad right now!!! :mad5 :mad5 :mad5
Alvin, isn't exactly a major mail hub.. The 2/13 mailed people who got them today likely live in hub cities like Houston or Dallas proper. Those of us in fringe areas just need to wait an extra day.
You are probably right. As I said earlier though, I have had issues with receiving mail addressed to a 122 address when mine is 112. Just kinda gets me a little scared that maybe the same happens with some of my mail getting put in the 122 box. Unfortunately I don't know the people at the other address and they don't speak english so I have some issues with trying to go ask them about it. I'm sure I'll get it this week though, I'm trying to stay optimistic!
Any luck today, Brett?
It's a holiday, I don't think there is post today..

I'm hoping it only takes two days from Austin to Houston.
Not yet, I've heard they bulk mail on Fri. Hope it mailed the day the site said it did!

Lots of posts referencing postmarks on a Wednesday. Here is one example.

If you have a "previous legal situation" on your background or you indicated any arrest, dismissed or not, it automatically get's assigned to a specialized agents queue, this adds essentially 3 weeks. Not much you can do about it except wait it out. This information was provided directly from DPS staff when detailing the process to me personally. If you have nothing listed on your application and nothing get's flagged during the electronic BG check at the time the "data entry clerks" enter your application and scan your picture/signature. It moves through the process right away, my understanding is that nobody even looks at it past that.
To substantiate the above:

Mailed 01/04
Pending BG 01/24
Pending manufacturing 02/10

I was told it has not been 60 days yet... :nono: :rules:

But everything looks good on their end. :thumbs2:

I guess processing time just depends on a ton of factors.
