Re: Chief Acevedo, Mayor Leffingwell call for national gun l

Having spent 10 years in law enforcement and seen gun violence from every angle there is no doubt Acevedo is lying through his teeth. He is like the rest of the liberals who are so arrogant that he feels if he says it that makes it so and everyone should believe him. After some of his words and acti...

S&W 1911

I found a S&W 1911 and bought it last night. Haven't had a chance to shoot it but it seems to feel good and the trigger seems really nice. Anyone have any experience or thoughts about these?

Re: Press / Die maintenance question

Having grown up up north, I can tell you that when it’s gets below freezing the humidity in the air will turn into “frost” on things…including your press and dies. The unpainted part of your press and your dies are unprotected and delicate when it comes to moisture, so it doesn’t take much to get so...

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills

Looks like CO will be added to the list of states where I try not to do any business with businesses from that state. I actually did some business with a company in CO this morning and told the person this might be one of the last times we do business because of their crazy legislatures in CO wantin...

Re: Airline case recommendations

Thanks Jim. Very helpful. I'll stop and get the case and see what I can find to lock the case into the suitcase and some locks. I'm sure you're right, most of the people at TSA are probably regular Joes...It's just a little unsettling flying with a gun ...guns and airplanes dont seem to go together....

Airline case recommendations

It appears I am going to have to fly to Phoenix and drive my daughter and her toddlers back to Austin in the next week or so. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good case / safe / vault to use to store a full size M&P in to put in the checked luggage to fly out there? Having nev...

Natchezss has primers

Natchezss has small pistol primers this morning...but there is s limit of 2k per person per day, so they get kind of pricey with the hazmat fee.

Re: Any Austin Rifle Club members?

Speaking from experience it seems the inability to get any response from the safety officers listed on the website is doing more to limit new members than promote range safety.
It sounds like a good idea but I don't think it's working as planned.
I guess there are other ranges.
