Yes. I hear the government sequestration cuts caught up with DPS in Austin... They had to furlough all of their Laminators!

It is sure frustrating when you start seeing people who mailed later than you getting plastic already. I mailed on 1/17, BG under review 2/6, still pending... 3 weeks +. Had one misdemeanor incident 34 years ago... Certified letter from the court clerk stating all charges were dismissed was enclosed along with a certified copy of state records showing they have nothing on me.
Guess I'm just stuck waiting...

Finally my status changed! I am now Manufacturing Pending!!! It seems DPS updated the system sometine between 2:00 AM and 10:00 AM today. I saw in another thread where two others changed to Manufacturing this morning also.

Finally in the home stretch!

License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

It has been taking right around 3 weeks for DPS to update the status on the web page. Don't sweat it yet, yours should be changing soon to Background Check Under Review.

Congrats! You jumped ahead of me. I am still waiting on BG check to complete since 2/6.

Excellent! I was concerned there might be a problem with your's since I actually mailed after you did and mine posted on the 6th. The more I try to figure a pattern for DPS actions, the more I get proven wrong. We are both in the background phase now, I have seen this go as quick as two days in one post all the way up to 6-8 weeks. It seems the average is 1-2 weeks, but there I go again trying to pattern. We are on the down hill slope anyway. Keep updating your progress and I will do the same.

Lately it has been taking around 3 weeks for status to change if you snail mailed the docs. Some more, some less. I mailed mine Jan 17th, status changed Feb 6th. Yours should be changing soon.
