Okay, I understand the comments about +P ammo. My wife carries a Ruger LCR .357 mag. What about using the .38 +P hy-shocks in it? I think it is a polymer framed revolver.

Congrats for getting your license. My wife and I applied the same day in November. She received hers in December. On the TxDPS website, mine still indicated "waiting for background info" (1/14/13). Go figure.
