Parler - is it back?
Has anyone tried to create a new account on Parler recently? It looks to be back, and I can go through the motions of setting up a new account - name, email, password, etc. However, after I enter all of that and click "Next", nothing happens. It isn't frozen as I can still click "Back...

Re: Restaurant carry
As I stated earlier, I just assume if a business is a RED >51% venue, then anything associated with it will be off limits. I used the example of the movie/dinner theatre because I've been in one where there weren't any signs on the front door, or where you purchase movie tickets. Once you get into ...

Re: Restaurant carry
It gets a little tricky with restaurants that have a dedicated bar inside... My understanding is that while you may sit in the restaurant area while carrying, you may not sit at the bar itself. Chili's restaurants is a good example of this.. Many of them have a dedicated bar inside where you cannot...

Wood grips for King Cobra
I'm thinking of purchasing the 3" barrel Colt King Cobra. It comes with the Hogue Overmolded grip, but I would prefer wood grips. Does anyone know if wood grips are available for this model? They seem to come standard on the 4.25" barrel model.

Re: Shield vs. Shield 2.0 in 9mm
My mistake - I thought the "EZ" and the "2.0" were the same, but they aren't. The EZ is a very different pistol.
I'm asking about the Shield vs. Shield 2.0 in 9mm (subject edited accordingly).

Shield vs. Shield EZ 2.0 in 9mm
My wife currently has a Shield 9mm and has often commented about how hard it is to rack the slide, and some concerns about the trigger pull. Otherwise, she really likes the size, how it fits in her hand, etc. My understanding is the Shield EZ or 2.0 addresses both of these concerns, so I'm consideri...

Re: Texan Jokes to pass the time here at home
Not necessarily a joke, but something any Texan can say to anyone from any other state:
"Before your state was a state, it was just land. Before my state was a state, it was a country!"

What happened to NRA Carry Guard training?
When Carry Guard was first introduced a few years ago, they had a rather extensive 2 or 3 day training class available. They weren't frequent, and were spread out across the nation, so finding one in the DFW area, or even Texas, was a slow process. Now, I can't even find a list of classes on their w...

Re: Flying to Colorado
The annoyance of having to keep an eye on the baggage carousel and the baggage office is also problematic. Roughly half of the time the bag comes out on the carousel with the big red tag telling everyone in the know that there's a firearm inside. Maybe it varies by airport or who's unloading the pl...

Re: Flying to Colorado
Yer a lucky fella to work for a company that allows you to possess a firearm on company business. I wouldn't say they "allowed" me to. My company doesn't allow firearms in our offices (30.0x posted, employee manual) and they are prohibited at "company sponsored events." If I had...

Re: Flying to Colorado
Just got back from Denver yesterday. Overall, the experience traveling with a pistol was uneventful, and basically as described earlier (see below). However, there was one unusual event. I was on a business trip, traveling with a colleague. The tickets were booked by our company travel agent, and th...

Flying to Colorado
I'm flying to Colorado via American in a few weeks and was looking for tips/advice. I've read through the rules for transporting a pistol via American Airlines - must be in a locked case, separate from ammunition, etc. How cumbersome/time-consuming is this whole process? You check in your bag, decla...
