Re: Man accidentally kills himself while taking photos with gun
Wow! Rule #1 people. The rules for safe firearm handling are easy to learn and very effective when obeyed.

Re: OC Day 8--Still Haven't Seen Any
I have not seen any OC in Southeast Texas (Beaumont/Port Arthur area) either. I personally don't plan to OC, but I have no problems with those who do.

Re: Scored some .22 LR at Walmart today
Haven't seen 22lr in Walmart in 2 years. I get small 50 count boxes from Academy on a regular basis and on the rare instance when I can be there when they open, I sometimes get lucky and get a brick. I think most of the 22lr in my area get bought up by a group of people that turn around and resale i...

Re: Fake CHL Decoy Carry?
So, they are anti-gun yet feel they need the "perception" that they are armed in order to feel/be safe? Oxymoron or just moron?

Re: How NOT to handle a loaded firearm-from the Expert
Had to stop watching when the genius did "the spin"! The only consolation is that he doesn't carry with a round in the chamber. I feel sorry for any innocent bystanders around him when he is carrying.

I would also check policy at your plant. Most of the plants in SE Texas that I am aware of won't hardly let you take in a pocket knife, much less a firearm. Also, I can only imagine what all that sweat would do to an EDC being exposed everyday.

Re: Good starting age?
I started my 13 year old shooting about 7 months ago. He loves to shoot my Browning Buckmark pistol (.22 lr), mostly because its easy and fun to shoot. He also enjoys my Marlin 25 (also .22 lr). He really gets a charge out of shooting my 12 guage when we take it out.. He has no problems handling a G...

Re: Searched at the Ferry
I have been inspected a couple of times when getting onto the Bolivar ferry. I've actually found it beneficial when the lines are long. The inspection line has always been loaded first when I've gone through it and it can cut 30 or 40 minutes off of a long line wait. As has been mentioned previously...
