Re: Carry in Church
I carried in church today. It was a little awkward hugging people, but I avoided any accidental issues.

Re: Carry in Church
Can someone please give me a definitive answer regarding this issue? My church has a school associated with it, but the sanctuary actually belongs to the church not the school. Would I be legal as long as I didn't go on the school grounds which is completely separate?

Re: Carry in Church
Thanks for that, however, I think that the school is an entirely separate organization and I would have to get separate permission to carry there.

Re: Carry in Church
I hadn't thought about the fact that there is a school attached to the church. Although school is not in session at that time. I would love to get a solid answer from an instructor. My church has a separate building for the school, however the school does use the sanctuary and fellowship hall during the week, and the church uses the classrooms on Sundays.

Re: Carry in Church
So you are referring to this?
(i) Subsections (b)(4), (b)(5), (b)(6), and (c) do not apply if the actor
was not given effective notice under Section 30.06.

Carry in Church
When I took my CHL class, my instructor told me that unless the church has posted the 30.06 sign on the building or in the bulletin it is legal to carry in a church, however when I read the statutes, it says that a person commits an offense if they carry in church. Can you guys clarify for me?
