Took her to the range yesterday! Put about 300 rounds through (combination of Remington UMC FMJ and JHP, WWB FMJ, and Speer Gold Dot) with no failure to feeds or any other type of malfunction. My wife stacked 5 in the 10-ring with her first 5 shots! Amazing gun! Very happy with my purchase.
I can confirm that it is DA/SA. I paid $900 before tax from Ryan with Houston Gun Sales up in north Houston. He is a great seller if you are in the Houston area. If you are near Austin, let OldCannon hook you up!

Re: Sig P226 Lone Star Edition
It has arrived! The grips look a lot nicer in person than they do in the promo document! Cleaning it tonight, then it'll get it's first range trip on Sunday!
Pardon the cell phone pics.

Re: Sig P226 Lone Star Edition
OK, great. I was worried after re-reading the promo sheet that it didn't have the SIGLites. Since it will be my wife's gun, I think the lack of SRT may be a good thing, due to the reasons you mentioned.OldCannon wrote:Nope. Here's the promo sheet from the only wholesaler, RSR: http://www.ammoland.com/2012/09/14/sig- ... 226-pistol" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;nablock wrote:I was actually not aware of that. The information sheet I had found showed DA/SA with the SRT. Seeing as you are a dealer, who has had the firearm in his possession, I guess there is no SRT on there. Does the Lone Star come with night sights?OldCannon wrote:Um, you're aware that the Lone Star Edition does not have an SRT, yes? You'll have to order an SRT kit from Midway USA (they're about $50: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/567973 ... sauer-p226" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).
I carry a SIG Elite Dark (http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductD ... arrel.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) that I have occasionally let people handle to compare to the Lone Star edition, in part to demonstrate the SRT.
The Lone Star edition definitely comes with SIGLite night sights though. It's a great gun, and definitely collection-worthy. The only two things I make sure my customers know is a) doesn't have a short reset trigger and b) the wood grips increase the circumference of the grip by about .2" (for some people, like me, its noticeable)
I no longer have one in stock though, somebody saw it and threw down cash so fast that I think it left a contrail
Now I just want it to arrive!

Re: Sig P226 Lone Star Edition
Yes, indeed! From the pictures, it appears Sig did a marvelous job on this one. Very curious to try out the SRT, as the P-series I've shot before had a standard trigger.
