What I can't understand is what would make any sane person think it was a good idea to tackle a guy you KNOW is carrying a gun, especially if you don't know their intention! Did it not cross his mind that this guy might be a LEO? If he did mean harm, how do you know he doesn't have a partner? Most criminals come in 2's or 3's (or more).
