Ah ok, so not as bad as it originally sounds then.
Thanks!

Guns in cars at Sam Houston State University WITHOUT CHL
I know if you have a CHL you are allowed to have your firearm in your car on university property due to a 2013 law. I also know that it is legal for an 18 year old to have a legally owned handgun (a gift) in their car generally, assuming it is concealed. My daughter goes to SHSU and when she turns 1...

Re: Pocket carry
I sometimes pocket carry a Keltec PF-9 (with 8 round extended mag +1) in a Uncle Mike's #4 pocket holster. Works great.
Lately thought I've been using a Desantis IWB most of the time.

Re: Domestic violence misdemeanor carrying black powder?
What is really wrong about the Lautenberg law is that there seems to be no mechanism whereby someone who has demonstrated a long period of being a good citizen can have his rights restored. A convicted felon , even one who has more than one conviction, in which the last date of conviction goes back...

Re: Domestic violence misdemeanor carrying black powder?
If you were to google "Felon hunt black powder texas" you will find lots of people stating that it's ok for a felon (which he isn't, but the gun related rights restriction for the domestic violence misdemeanor is the same) to own, shoot and hunt with a black powder weapon . The law would ...

Re: Domestic violence misdemeanor carrying black powder?
My question would be, even though it's not a "Firearm" by definition, isn't it still a handgun? it would still fall under the definition of a "deadly weapon" under TPC 1.07 (17 a-b) .. that's a gray area... I would seek a lawyer's advise.. :tiphat: If you were to google "Fe...

Domestic violence misdemeanor carrying black powder?
A friend of mine is planning on buying a black powder pistol. Some time ago (not sure, in the last 10 years I believe) he was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. I don't know the whole story (not that it specifically matters) but it was something about catching his girlfriend (that he lived ...
