I just wanted to point out that the unlicensed possession sign is irrelevant to the 30.06 sign and does not trump it. The unlicensed possession sign is required by law if they sell alcoholic beverages. It is a reminder from the state to all of the crooks that if you are already breaking the law as a misdemeanor by carrying a pistol without a permit, it becomes a felony if you enter the area covered by the license. Consider it the state's sign and not the owner's. It does not reflect any desire on the part of the owner to allow or ban guns.Screamin Jimmy wrote:However, upon entering Bubba Gump's there was the standard "unlicensed possession" sign right inside the door, which in my mind trumped the 30.06 sign on the ramp.
The 30.06 sign is the owner saying that he doesn't care what the state allows, you cannot bring a concealed pistol in his premises when you have a license. You might consider it the owner's way of saying he does not want his customers to have passed a background check. So, in reality, the 30.06 sign trumps the "permission" granted by the unlicensed possession sign.
