When I was growing up my dad had a rottweiler that he could control with just three words:Stop, back, and get'em. He still kept it chained. Mainly cause our neighbors liked to abuse it with beer bottles and fireworks. If you ask me that officer did right. If the owner won't look after their dogs let them be put down. I have a pit-bull. She is sweet, spoiled, and great with kids. Hates cats and barks up a storm every time someone knocks or rings the doorbell. BUT I would never let her out in public without a leash and her choke-collar. She is naturally protective and could do damage if not controlled. Kinda like my glock.
