Many of us who have submitted complaints have seen signs voluntarily removed (eg Moneygram Park in Dallas). On others, we have been copied on letters from the AG to the municipality asking for additional information. I feel certain that they will demand the signs be removed in most all of these cases. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I get more worked up during the legislative sessions when the short legislative sessions set sometimes severe time constraints. The AG is making forward progress. Let's support the AG and let the enforcement actions run to their logical completion.

Re: Attorney General Illegal Posting Update?
Even if the OAG finds in favor of the complainant, there would still have to be a hearing and possible trial before any fines would be levied. Even if it's later than we would like, the fact that action is taking place is a good thing.
I do agree with the idea that once a couple of big fish land in hot water, it will encourage other entities to take a closer look at what they're doing.

Re: Attorney General Illegal Posting Update?
What I've posted is essentially what is in the letter. The county has 10 days to respond and/or provide relevant information.

Re: Attorney General Illegal Posting Update?
Although not statutorily required, the Texas Firearms Coalition website has some forms that are easy to use:
https://www.texasfirearmscoalition.com/ ... aint-forms
Remember, the process is to first notify the offending entity. Wait 3 business days for a response. If the signs are still up after 3 business days, file with the OAG. Here's the link to the OAG online filing page

Re: Attorney General Illegal Posting Update?
I have received a copy of the letter that the AG's office sent to Harris County in response to my complaint about the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The letter states that the Office of the Attorney General has received a complaint & will be investigating. The county has 10 days to submit any relevant information in response.
Is it working like we thought it would? Not exactly. But if you have something to report, do so! Having reports on file that OAG has done nothing about will help us next session and beyond.
