I've only had to leave my bag behind the counter when I go into the shop.

I find the Arms Room to be clean and friendly. Brian Mobley and Tom Estep (CHL instructors) are both great.

HOWEVER, it is crowded, DISORGANIZED and EXPENSIVE at the shooting range check-in counter. It can take 5 to 10 minutes (or longer on weekends) to check in when they are "crowded". Unfortunately crowded for them is self-inflicted. All the check-in garbage required there seems to take a couple of minutes per person for some reason. Because of this, a "crowd" of 6 to 8 people develops and you all wait while they punch info into computers, seem frantic and disorganized. My experiences when there weren't a lot of other people ahead of me haven't been too bad, but 95% of the time it frustrates the hell out of me. Their check-in area is small compared to Top Gun or Marksman and understaffed (because they have no more room for additional personnel).

They have raised their rates a couple of times at least since I started going. It's substantially more expensive than Marksman now. Unfortunately Maksman has now started "upgrading" their check-in process to something that resembles the Arms Room. I told them this is one of the reasons I was there instead of the Arms Room. Thankfully Marksman's upgraded computer entry stuff is not as slow as AR. I don't think I'm going back to Arms Room. Their gun store is overpriced also. However, their online pricing through Gun Genie is pretty reasonable. ?

I may rejoin PSC, it's just no fun to shoot there in the summer. And the weather is a factor too (rain or cold).

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I asked about renting some things one time and the girl behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about. I don't mind that so much. I wouldn't expect necessarily that someone would be an expert on all the firearms in their inventory (there are probably 100 ?), but somehow they thought that the HK MK23 on their wall was a .23 caliber when I was inquiring about HK45 or HK USP45. I had to explain the model names and calibers. I wish they had more concealed carry sized guns to rent (Kahr, PPS, XDs, etc)
