Thanks for highlighting my post count which I hadn't noticed untill now. I didn't have to sell anything but I did hand over some coin for all that ammo.

Glad you're still intact! I wish I was there with some friends watching that purchase...we would have carried you out on our shoulders!

I even called a buddy of mine and he rushed on down and was able to nab one of the .45 250 round packs and two of the .22 LR Hollow point 333 round packs himself.

$8.97??? Wow!! That's the cheapest I've seen it! The last box I bought was at Winchester Gallery in F.W. for $16.95 for American Eagle. I would have driven all the way from North Arlington to get 2 or 3 boxes.

How much did they have in stock?

They didn't have much maybe 10 boxes when I bought my limit of 2. Usually that price is reserved for the CCI blazer brass so I was a little surprised myself at the 8.97. Call before you go.

Went in to Wally World in Mansfield today. They had some 9mm Federal Champion 115GR FMJ RN Brass for the same price as the CCI Blazer Brass 8.97 for a box of 50. They also had some .40. I didn't take a count of boxes.

Well I feel sort of lucky today. After driving around most of south Arlington this morning and hitting all wal-marts plus academy, I was feeling a little frustrated. No 9mm at all and Academy just got in a shipment of .45 230 FMJ Blazer aluminum they were selling for 19.99 a box .

I stopped at another wal-mart on the way home and they were empty but the clerk told me that he had checked and the cleburne store had some 9mm and .40 in stock . Instead of doing the smart thing and calling the store I drove down to Cleburne only to find that they were out also . I was sent on a wild goose chase and it was all my fault for not calling the store.

I headed back to Mansfield and decided I needed a few more things so I hit up my wal-mart ( No handgun ammo except for sig 357 for a couple of weeks now. I am shopping and decided it couldn't hurt to run by the counter and check out the ammo situation. What I found was 9 boxes of Blazer Brass 9mm for 8.97 a box . Needless to say I cleaned them out of all 9 boxes. Even though I spent a good amount of time driving around I ended up finding what I was looking for in my own backyard.

If you live in Mansfield and want to spend some money Sports Authority had Winchester .45 230 JHP 50 per Box for 24.95. That is way more than I usually spend for plinking ammo but times are really tough for Ammo. Every Wal-mart I visited this weekend was completely out of .40, .45, and 9mm. The gun show I went to had the same winchester for 26.95 per box so I looked at it like I saved 2.00 a box. They seemed to have plenty on hand.

I was at my Wally World yesterday and was surprised to see that CCI Blazer Brass .45 FMJ 230gr (50) was still 14.97 a box. Reliable ammo for a decent price considering what WWB is going for nowadays. Picked up a couple to add to my stockpile.

I don't mind paying my share of the taxes. For what I have saved in ordering 50 round boxes of federal HST's versus the 20 round boxes that I see at academy, I still come out way ahead.

I just ordered me some more Federal LE Tactical HST .45 and 9mm ammo from ammunition to go. Seems they have the best price going for this stuff at the moment.

The HST's are supposed to be the new hydro shok round. I have been happy with ammunition to go prices and shipping so far, no problems.
