Bennies wrote:I think overall the rally went really well! We had some pretty good numbers and everyone seemed to put on a good representation of the second amendment (aside from a few info war people). Speakers were pretty good I thought too!

It was great getting to meet some of you forum members! Sorry I couldn't hang out and chat a little longer.
Yeah, the inforwars guy was an idiot.

So you were the one carrying around the petition? I believe I took a photo of you.

Re: Rally in Austin on 1/19

Went with my son and his girlfriend, she was raised by liberals so it was an educational experience for her listening to the very good speakers. Here are some photos of the rally.

I estimated the crowd around 1500 by the end, but Fox said 600  . Many folks showing up as it was in progress.

Re: Rally in Austin on 1/19

Does anyone know where at the Capitol it will be? Front steps, south side, north side?

I doubt I'd make a sign, but I did have an idea:

Mikael Gross & Tracy Bridges - Appalachian School of Law
Joel Myrick - Pearl High School
James Strand - Edinboro, PA School Graduation Dance
Kenneth Hammond - Trolley Square Shopping Mall
Citizens of Austin, TX - The Tower at the University of Texas
Mark Wilson - Tyler, TX Courthouse
Jeanne Assam - New Life Church

All stopped mass shootings using a firearm!

Feel free to add to the list.
I was at this one and the suspect was definitely shot by police and very irritated about it "rlol"

Officer Rich Agundez - Granite Hills High School
I was originally going for ones without police involvement since no one is suggesting taking guns away from the police, but on second though those work just as well.

That's rich, I'd be interested in seeing Spielberg's reaction to that. :clapping:

Re: Rally in Austin on 1/19

I don't believe Pirate was a representative of the FB page, therefore most likely not a representative of who will be at the rally. I was planning to go, but now I am second guessing my plans, but I am trying to not take the posting on this thread as indicative of how the rally will be conducted.

So, to go or not to go? Not sure at this time; it is difficult to separate the person posting here from the event itself.
