Re: Gun control legislation unlikely in wake of Colorado sho
Here's a couple of links:Not that I disbelieve you, but I want to post this to FB...and there are a few non-believers out there who will say it, so I'll cut them off: what is the source for this info? That way, I can post a link and shut them up before they even start running their yaps...thanks in advance...and I'm NOT surprised in the least.
http://www.coloradoceasefire.org/munilaws.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (this site is pro gun control and claims a 12+ cities, including Aurora, have CCW bans)
However, at this link it seems to contradict itself: http://www.coloradoceasefire.org/Col-state.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
May police limit carrying concealed handguns? No
May cities enact laws stronger than the state's? No
Colorado - State law prohibits local governments from enacting sensible gun laws, even though the state's gun laws are weak and make it easy for criminals and children to get guns. In 2003, the state preempted local laws and overturned existing local laws in several cities, some of those cities are pursuing legal action to reinstate the local laws.
