It's a Beretta Cougar with some special gunsmithing. I forgot but I'm sure age_ranger will fill us in about it as soon as he reads this.

All I know is now I want one.

I'm sorry you couldn't make it S&W6946. We had a great time. Bullet Trap is a nice place to shoot. They have quite a few guns for sale also.

I'll have to brag on age_ranger's new .45. He gave us all a turn with it and it made us look like pros. That was one sweet shooting gun that somehow didn't kick at all like .45's I've shot before.

Piney, it was great to meet you and I hope I can get to the Longview area in the near future and meet up with you again.

Their website says Saturday, 10:00am to 8:30pm. I'm not a member.

Edited to add: The IDPA match tomorrow at Elm Fork has just been cancelled, according to the DAPS website.

I'll go there Saturday, but not sure of what time yet until I check with the War Dept. What say you, Piney?

Yeah, five or six lanes. Not a good place for a group shoot. No places to even stand around and talk.

git'r done.
I hate to be a cheapskate about it, but it's $8.00 at BassPro and $17.00 at Bullet Trap! Do they clean your guns for you after shooting?

(Now that's funny right there, I don't care who ya are!)

Re: Saturday 20 Jan

I have GOT to go to the range Saturday. It has been too long.

I'm thinking about going to Bass Pro in Grapevine, but open for anywhere if other folks are going.

Unless we get ice and snow in Dallas Saturday, I'll be at Target Master at 1pm. I'd enjoy some company.
I'll see you there at 1:00 if our IDPA classifier gets cancelled. Looks like a lot of rain, but no ice until Sunday.

Well, in my neck of the woods the only place I can think of for a group of people is Elm Fork off Luna and Northwest Highway (Irving). The new management has spruced it up a little bit. It's outdoors and when I'd shoot skeet there, we'd sit on lawn chairs or tailgates and tell lies between rounds.

Forget Bass Pro - they only have 6 stations and no place close by to hang around and talk.

I'd also be up for that. Sounds like a great way to make new friends.

Also a chance to look at, handle and possibly shoot other guns that I may not normally get a chance to do...like, oh I don't know,
a S&W 6946 for example, if someone happens to have that gun! :smilelol5:
