Remember, Drudge ain’t what it used to be. They have effectively switched sides: all anti-Trump all the time and all Coronavirus all the time.

Rumor is that Drudge sold the site. I find lots of supposition to that effect, but cannot find proof. Either way, I no longer read Drudge. I now visit the Bongino Report as my favorite news aggregator.

The data, collected by location technology company X-Mode, was recently plugged into the geospatial data visualization platform known as Tectonix as part of an effort to track the coronavirus across the globe.

In just one example of the project’s findings, cellphones on a beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, during spring break were selected and tracked. When the festivities ended, the cellphones were seen sprawling out across the Eastern half of the country, potentially bringing cases of the highly contagious virus with them.

Yeah, it just got real for much of the world, with Tom Hanks being confirmed positive.

Here's my prediction: Since most people recover, Mr. Hanks has a pretty decent chance of doing so himself. If, and when, he does, it will have a calming effect. Everyone is talking about the infection rates, the deaths, etc. but when a high profile (arguably very much loved) person recovers, it will give hope to the world.

I hope he and his wife both recover soon.

All five patients returned from a trip to Egypt in late February where officials say they contracted the virus. They didn’t show symptoms immediately and so they went about their business as usual for a few days, officials said.

The presumptive positive cases are all considered actionable, officials say. This means the patients’ tests were conducted and confirmed as coronavirus by a local lab but officials are waiting for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lab in Atlanta to confirm the test results.

Officials are working to determine who else was on the trip with the five patients. As of now, 17 members of the Rice University community are under self-quarantine and 10 people who came in direct contact with the patient from Fort Bend County are also under self-quarantine.
