A snake in my gun safe

My wife rocks. That's all I've got to say about that.

We went to the gun show at the George R. Brown Convention center yesterday, and she set her sights on this awesome Colt Python for me. It has a 4" barrel, built in 1976, and still tight as a drum. I'm going to have to go buy some new ammo today and give her a test drive.

I might have to update my posting here to reflect another choice: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=74645&hilit=+python#p940068.. Sure, I'd been jonesing for a nickel-plated one, but this one will do just fine.

As a side note, I noticed NO 30.06 sign going into the gun show this time (it's been a while since I've been there, and it was posted last time I went). I walked in, looking around carefully. The police officer behind the counter welcomed me to his table, and asked what I was looking or. I told him, "I'm looking for a 30.06 sign - I don't want to break any laws, and I'll exit right away if I can find one."

He told me that if I plan to keep it concealed the whole time, then there was no need to disarm. That's a refreshing change of circumstances from the last time I was there...glad to see that!
