Re: Bad Experience at Top Gun - Houston

Memorial Shooting Center near I-10 West and Beltway 8 is a good place. Not as "nice" as Top Gun, but the staff is much more knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. They are about the same price as Top Gun (which ain't cheap btw), but I feel much more comfortable there.

I discovered American Shooting Center (out door) at Westheimer and HW6 a few weeks ago and am hard pressed to go anywhere else now. I love the property, the range, and the staff are good people (from what I can tell up to this point). I will say that the gunsmith told me and I quote, "you can literally POUR oil in EVERY part of the slide of your Glock, it won't hurt it a bit.". I had a strong feeling :mad5 this wasn't true so I got a 2nd opinion from the MSC guys and feel much more confident in them.

I'd say for indoor MSC is the best I've been to. I'd rather shoot out door any day, unless the weather was just downright horrible of course.
