Re: Hotel in NE Fort Worth that allows my gun with me
Thanks for info. I stayed at the LaQuinta Inn. No 3006 sign. Nothing on what I signed. No problems. Thanks again.

Re: Hotel in NE Fort Worth that allows my gun with me
If a hotel does not allow firearms, is it required to also have a 30.06 sign?

Hotel in NE Fort Worth that allows my gun with me
I need to stay in a hotel for couple days in NE Fort Worth, NRH , or HEB. Does anyone know what hotels don't have rules against me having my gun in this area. I have CHL.

After renewal, old CHL destroy or required return?
I just got my renewed CHL in mail. I have forgotten. Am I required to return the old one to the state? Or can I just destroy it?
Thanks
Thanks

Looking for fixed blade knife with full length tang blade
The fixed blade knife I'd like to find has a full length blade tang. Length about 4.5" to 5.3". No more than 5.5". The preferred blade material is carbon steel. Although I would consider harder steels. If possible a budget price would be Nice. The knife purpose is for hunting/survival...

Executive order banning lead?
Normally I don't believe everything I am told. However if this is true, I want to know. Is there a new law or executive order that bans future manufacture of lead ammo and bullets once current stock is used by the manufacturers? Please tell me it's bull.

Old school revolvers and lever guns
I guess I'm still pretty old school. My concealed carry weapons are 4" revolvers in 357 and 45 colt. I keep a 12 gauge pump or lever action rifle in car trunk or truck back floorboard. Are there any sources for us old school gun toters? Web sites, printed magazines, and forums that are geared m...

Re: .45 Colt .357 mag or .44 Mag
I recently bought a Rossi 1892 lever gun in 357. Love it. I now have an order in (back ordered) on a Rossi lever in 454 casull. That would be a fun one especially if matched up with a redhawk in 454. I've heard you can shoot 45 colt in the 454 lever gun. If I could only choose one it would probably ...

Re: Ammo for lever rifle
Thanks for your quick informative responses. The round nose should be good for playing. Hollow points should be fine for defensive purposes if it functions properly. I've heard of leverevolution ammo. Haven't seen any to buy yet. I'll try some eventually. Maybe I'll see some at the gun show this wee...

Ammo for lever rifle
I just got a lever rifle in 357 mag. I know not to use pointed ammo. Flat point is best. Is it safe to use jacketed round nose?
Thanks in advance.
Donny.

We tested various brands of 45 acp jhp in 3 different 1911s. Winchester xpd1 (I think), Remington golden saber, black hills, federal hydrashocks, and Speer gd dots. We were using colt defender, colts series 80 government model, and rock island armory. We got good results from the colts. The RIA seem...
