FYI, here's a model to use when addressing elected officials.
It's from the U.S. Geological Survey, but is comprehensive. It includes the appropriate address format for a letter and envelope, and the appropriate salutation and close.
IMHO, the formal format should be used even in email. I send a lot of faxes, and they certainly follow this protocol.
We need to present ourselves and our arguments as professionally as possible. Part of that is to use the accepted letter format.

Yep. If the administration is pulling a shock-and-awe strategy, so should we. The more and different types of communication, the better. I personally like to send faxes because they're tangible and present more formality than email. But good on Ruger for this little app and making it easy to get another message out.
