It will be worth the wait. The Ultra CDP is my primary carry, and it's a great little piece of engineering. It's more accurate than any stock, striker-fired 4" pistol I own; it's eminently concealable; and not to jinx it, but I've not had a single failure in some-odd 3,000 rounds of FMJ and +P JHP (not up to our own G.C. Montgomery's measure, but he's pretty much the gold standard; I have to settle for silver ).
One bit of advice: if you plan to shoot it more than 1,000 rounds or so in the near term, go ahead and put in an order with Kimber for a replacement recoil spring kit. They're often out of stock, and you will definitely want to keep this piece of your compact 1911 carry piece refreshed and reliable.
You can't go wrong with Tucker Gunleather. They don't know how to make a less than superlative product.
I went with TT Gunleather for my IWB double-mag carrier (http://www.ttgunleather.com/catalog/i37.html) and couldn't be happier. It was precisely molded, the finish was excellent, and the workmanship top notch. Further, communication with Tim through the process was great. We all know good holsters and mag holders are little pieces of art, and confidence in the artist is important if the process will take many weeks.
(MODs take notice: See, I did bring this back on topic. )
I don't know why anyone carrying an auto-loading pistol would not have at least one spare magazine at hand. There are so many reasons to do so, and so few not.

Re: Spare Mags
My primary is a single-stack 1911. I always have two additional mags on the opposite hip in an IWB carrier from TTGunleather. It's very comfortable for me, and the extra size and weight actually does a nice job of balancing the pistol on the other side.
