Bersa's are pretty good pistols overall, but they do have some problems/weaknesses with the .380 line. I own a BT380 and 380cc and have had problems with each that had to be resolved. I wound up spending almost as much shipping the guns, several times, to an authorized repair site as I did for the guns. But, both pistols do work reliably now.
Mactex : Was it propensity to fail to feed on the Bersa? If so, what did they do to fix it? :tiphat:
Sorry I missed this post earlier. Thankfully I have had no FTFs on my Bersa pistols. My worst problems had to do with breakage. On both pistols the e-clip that holds the trigger bar onto a shaft shattered into pieces two or three times. I finally fixed the e-clip problem by purchasing some appropiately sized e-clips from a local hobby store. No breakages since then! On my BT-380 I also had problems with the safety being so stiff that it was extremely difficult to manipulate. Then on my .380cc the coiled spring under the right handgrip broke twice. You can see that shipping for all these occurances added up to quite a bit of money, but I give Bersa credit in that they honor their lifetime warranty.
