Re: 2 San Antonio gun shows same weekend?
Good question. I haven't been to a show in several months. I was also planning to go to the Saxet to see how the market was looking and see if there were any deals on stuff I am interested in.m Guess we'll find out on Saturday!

Re: 2 San Antonio gun shows same weekend?
I like the Saxet show, but the in the past the Texas show has not had as good a mix of gun vendors to other vendors as the Saxet show. My neighbor and I quite attending the Texas show sometime last year because of that.

Tripple-K makes some nice OWB mag holders that look just like knife pouches.

Bass Pro Shop. I'm not sure either is reasonably priced though! :)

Call A Place to Shoot and ask. I think they rent pistols, but I've not seen a Judge there.

Re: Indoor range in San Antonio (that doesn't cost arm and l
A place to shoot is good also, but they charge by the weapon. Also limited to a single target that they provide, since the range is always hot. Ummmm... Only kinda true. They do charge by the weapon. For me to take 3 handguns out there costs $14. $10 for first handgun, the lane, a target, and ear p...

Re: Hi-Point carbine??
I have the earlier 995 model with a few hundred rounds throught it. Not a single problem and I've really enjoyed shooting it. If yours ever has problem just send it in to High Point and they will repair it under waranty!

Re: Trouble with Supertuck
I've not had the magazine release issue you described when using my ST holsters with a G32, Bersa .380, and G29. But I did have that issue with a PT-145 combinied with the ST and High Noon holsters. I think there can be conbination of mag release design, holster design, and body shape that will crea...

Re: Trimming Cases
Honestly, I have quit trimming my strait walled pistol cases. I checked each case with a pair of calipers for about a year or so before I convinced myself that it wasn't necessary. Qualification to the prior statement: any brass I pickup at the range gets checked before reloading. After that I just ...

Re: 357 Sig
Hope you don't intend to reload either -- not saying you can't reload .357SIG, but the pressures on the brass neck really limit its ability to be reused. I'm not quite sure where you are coming from on the case reuse issue. I've reloaded .357SIG cases numerous times with only a handful of case prob...

Re: Ranges in San Antonio?
My current range is A Place to Shoot. With their target system you don't have to worry about calling a cease fire since the target moves up/down range on a wire. No brass gets spit at me from other shooters since they have dividers between stalls. My only negative, and it is only a problem for relo...

Re: Ranges in San Antonio?
I have been there once as part of a match and didn't have any serious complaints as their setup was seemed to be really good for competitions. My main beef at the time was a lack of restrooms near the area where we were shooting (the competition lasted several hours). But, I haven't tried them for b...

I've heard lots of great things about the Vihtavourti powders and I'd love to try them, but I've not found them in smaller, one pound, quantities in my local area.

Re: Idea on Powder
I like and use Power Pistol for 9mm, 357 sig, and 10mm. It burns pretty clean in the sig and 10mm. 9mm is not quite as clean and when I tried it in .380 it really left a mess on my hands and arms. The only down side to PP is a bit of flash.
