The promogulation of party over all, consigns us to an ever increasing pendulum of policy and legislation that will surely lead to the sun setting on the American empire. I do hope that we can someday regain the attitude of America first and do what is best for the majority of the country. Grandstanding and vehement political discourse have been around for a very long time. It is only the last 20 + years or so that the advent of the many commenuication channels has made any action fodder for the media machines, resulting in a disproportiante exposure to any and all opinions."
