Gun Control:"Not Now!" "Not Ever!"

Here is a copy of an email that I just sent to Speaker John Boehner. I know that my two Texas Senators and Texas Representative are already on board and leading the fight against gun control. QUOTE: SUBJECT: GUN CONTROL: "NOT NOW!" "NOT EVER!" Dear Speaker Boehner, I have been a ...

As a resident of McLennan County, I deeply appreciate and support Sheriff Parnell McNamara's forthright public statement. His viewpoints make a lot of sense.

Here's a link to a really good primer on safes: http://www.6mmbr.com/gunsafes.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; My first safe was a Zanotti, and it is now my ammo safe. My Bride and Children pooled their funds and got me a Graffunder for Christmas 2 years ago. It require...

Do You Own a Gun Safe?

Having a small collection of five handguns, with more on the way, I have become increasingly uneasy about leaving unsecured guns at home when my wife and I both leave the house. This year on our annual out-of-town Christmas trip, I loaded all five pistols in a range bag and kept them locked in the t...

Re: 2/3rds of U.S. weapons owners would 'defy' a federal gun

As long as we have RINO Republicans who "just want to get along and compromise," we cannot be assured of victory in congressional fights. Every election counts and we need to get our conservative leaders elected. The day for compromise is long gone. LET THE ULTRA LEFT COMPROMISE. There are...

Re: 2/3rds of U.S. weapons owners would 'defy' a federal gun

I've got nothing to lose by breaking the law. If I live to go to jail, I get three square meals a day, free medical care, and i'm too old and fat to be willing to be anybody's "special friend." I'll shank the first person that tries. If I go to heaven defending my rights or my "virtu...

Re: no guns or ammo

Last week at Academy, I got three 375-count boxes of CCI .22LR MiniMag off the rack as they were filling the shelves. [I left three boxes for others.] This week, I checked Academy several times. No 9mm, .45ACP, or .22LR on the shelf. A new sign appeared that this ammo is stored behind the counter an...

Re: Motorcycle Accident

Glad you are mostly ok. Let us know what the specialist says. Believe me, now is the time for action. I hope all goes well for you! Back in 1993, I was bicycling in a breakdown lane when a large semi pulled a right turn directly in front of me. To avoid hitting the truck head-on, I laid my bicycle d...

I bought the firearm first. An absolute Newbie to handguns, I spent a month taking lessons and practicing at the range before getting my CHL.

Re: Please Pray For My Wife

Thanks for your update.

I will continue to pray for you and your wife's complete recovery. Many years ago my wife was blindsided and had a bad neck whiplash. It took a very long time for recovery.

Thanks for all the excellent help and advice you have imparted here in TexasCHL.

Re: Bang! Bang! I'm dead! :-)))

We would have definitely bonded! :boxing Some very annoyed Gaelic would have been heard, had that been me; I'd have had little shame in putting that man in his place, right sharpish. Boy, I would have been very vocal and pointed in expressing my displeasure. If people don't realize they should [ si...

Bang! Bang! I'm dead! :-)))

Had a nice day wasting time visiting gun shops today. While most of the shelves were devoid of 9mm and .45 ACP ammo, I did find some CCI .22LR mini-mags at the local Academy Sports. It was on a cart waiting to be shelved. I took three of the 375-round boxes and left three boxes. :eek6 Then I went to...

Re: Academic gets taken to the woodshed

Nothing will happen. You may not have found it acceptable where you worked but there are plenty of "universities" in this country where the most outrageous ideological drivel is not only tolerated, but encouraged. The nonsense my son encountered at UT Austin is frightening. This woman is ...

Re: TSRA?

While I have only been a gun owner for one year, it did not take me long to realize how much I owed to both the NRA and the TSRA, so I became a Life Member in both organizations. I urge all gun owners to join the NRA and, if one is available, their state organization. Having a collective voice at st...
